Excellent location in a safe neighbourhood. Very close to a metro station and a wide variety of excellent restaurants and bars. Only a few minutes walk to the Colosseum. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar staff were excellent, friendly, welcoming and a pleasure to be served by. Breakfast was included each day. The food was fresh, tasty and offered a wide variety. We stayed in a premium room which was a great size. The bathroom was modern, very clean and large.

This is a lovely hotel located within minutes from Colosseum and Termini station. There was some misunderstanding with the room we booked through Booking.com, but the staff was incredibly helpful and exchange our room quickly. Rooms are very nice and beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel. We stayed for five nights. The facilities were very good and the staff was excellent, going out of their way to be helpful. The rooftop bar was very pleasant and the daily breakfast was way better than average for most of the hotels we stayed in on our month long holiday. Cannot recommend the Monti Palace more strongly. The great central location was also a great plus as most places were within walking distance.

Good location but no drawers!

This hotel is well located close to the Colosseum and plenty of restaurants. Room was a good size but there were NO drawers. Not one. So there was nowhere to put your underwear, leads or other bits and pieces. There was only hanging space. "Stalks" attached to curtains on very tall windows were so out of reach we (short people) had to go on tiptoe to try and pull the curtains. There is an upstairs bar that doubles as a breakfast room but you have to book to have even a drink in the evening. Not sure if they get many outsiders using it but I felt it should be for guests. Breakfast was ok help yourself. Hotel was clean and staff efficient. As you don't need to walk past reception to enter the hotel as a guest it made me feel rather anonymous as there was no interaction between me and reception staff and I guess anyone could walk in off the street. But overall it was a satisfactory stay in a big city.

We loved our stay at The Monti Palace. Our room was clean, large, modern, comfortable and had a great view of Rome as we were luckily on the 4th floor. The free breakfast each morning on the terrace was lovely and definitely a bonus. The roof top terrace bar is a must one night when the sun is setting, the view was incredible and the drinks we nice too. As first time visitors we thought the location was great for exploring Rome; a metro station right outside, the colosseum a short walk away, and the surrounding streets filled with restaurants, shops and sights that would make any walk enjoyable, just be prepared for a lot of walking in Rome in general. We would definitely stay at The Monti Palace again
